Paycheck (2003)

Plot: Michael Jennings is a reverse engineer and what he does is technical jobs for certain companies and as soon as he is done, his memory of the work he has done is wiped out. Now the longest he has been contracted is 2 months. But now billionaire, James Rethrick offers him a job that would last 2 years, maybe 3, and he promises that he will probably earn 8 figures. Michael agrees. Before beginning he turns in all of his personal effects. And when the job is done, his memory is erased and he learns he made over 90 million dollars over the three years. When he goes to claim it and his personal effects, he discovers that prior to the erasure of his memory he waived his rights to the money he earned and that the items that were given to him were not the ones he gave when he began. Later he is arrested by the FBI who say that he committed some act of treason and murder. It’s while he is in custody that he escapes using some the items that he was given. He later meets with a friend who gives him some information that helps him understand what is going on. And at the same time Rethrick for some reason wants him so he is being pursued by Rethrick’s people.

Let’s say I’m making $1000 per 2 week pay period (15th and last day of the month) for a total of 24 pay periods per year. Okay so how did u feel about the last episode. Personally i thought Tyler and Catelynn Are COMPLETELY ridiculous them 2 have ALOT of growing up to do. the ONLY reason them 2 dont fight is cause they don’t have their damn kid to take care of. Mind you they did make the hardest decision out of all of the couples its just.. i mean really? Tyler still has a damn baby face and hes over there askin her to marry him. REALLY?! And Maci! that girl needs to just drop that dirt bag Ryan. She deserves SO much better then him and so the hell does Bentley. Amber. Is my second favorite ( Maci’s my first) but honestly Amber needs to take a chill pill. YES i know she has alot on her plate but she just needs to relax.go to the spa for a day or something. Catelynn and Tyler: I’m really happy for them as they got engaged. Also I’m happy that they’re parents are accepting
them more. They both still need some growing up to do but I think they can handle it.

Maci and Ryan: Maci made the right decision, she deserves way better than Ryan. She should’ve never given Ryan a second chance, he doesn’t act like a good father, a boyfriend or a person in general.

Amber and Gary: I just can’t stand Amber. She needs to stop cussing in front of Leah. And she needs to be more forgiving and less b/tchy. She gets mad at Gary for everything, every little thing. She doesn’t have a bit of empathy.

Farrah: I’m really glad she’s being a good mother again and spending more time with Sophia rather than going on dates. Hope she can stay that way.

Teen pregnancy in my opinon is just something that happens. Yes, I do believe people shouldn’t be getting pregnant in their teen years. Wanna have sex, use protection. But then again, protection doesn’t always work. And everyone makes mistakes in their lives and this is just one of those mistakes. They’ll learn their lesson the harder way.

That’s a hard question. I’m 15 right now so if I got pregnant I’ll probably give it up for adoption. I’m not ready to raise a baby, I can’t even take care of myself properly.

Couple…that’s kind of hard to decide. I love Maci and Bentley, just not Ryan. Maci is the best mother. She sacrificed so much for her son like going away to college with her friends and a social life. She works hard as she graduated high school early to go to college and she doesn’t depend on her parents to pay or always take care of her son, she does it all. Bentley is the cutest baby on there! Everytime I see him I just want to give him a huge hug. And he looks exactly like Maci haha.

I honestly think it just happens & some people should deal with it, because teens having sex is reality. And, since birth control isn’t 100% effective, there ARE going to be babies born to teens.

I am a pregnant teen, and I’m keeping him. At first, I did think about abortion and adoption, because it is something that crosses your mind. But, after discussing it with my boyfriend, we realized keeping him was the best option for us.

My favorites are Tyler & Catelynn. I think they did the best they knew how. Also, I like Maci alot. I think she adjusted to the role of teen motherhood quite well given the circumstances. But I think Ryan needs to step up.

I do NOT like Amber. On the commercial for the reunion special with Dr. Drew, she said that she might be pregnant again. She can’t handle the kid she has. On one of the episodes, she didn’t even know how to put up the playpen. She is selfish, not working, and complains about taking care of the baby. I realize its stressful, but come ON. Her boyfriend is working all the time and trying to provide for them. Give him a break. If I was him, I would have left her a long time ago.

Farrah: She needs to stop spending so much time on boys. She threw that away when she layed down, spread her legs, and got pregnant.

Yes, I am going to watch season 2 of 16 & Pregnant.

What's your miracle cure for a chronic yeast infection?
ok. i’m just about on my wit’s end. lemme start from the beginning. (oh joy)
i’ve been on ocella birth control (generic of yasmin) for roughly two years. i stopped taking it three days before i was finished with my pack a month ago because i had been doing research on how horrible bc pills, especially the kind i was on, are for your body, & i believed i finally found the cause of my pesistent yeast infection.
i’ve had this infection since late september/early october but didn’t notice it until the end of november. i believe it was brought on by antibiotics i had been taking for shaving bumps. (ridiculous. the wish for beauty is not worth what i’m now going through. & they’ve cleared up on their own since then, without the meds help…great) so it wasn’t brought on by the bc pills, but i think that’s why it’s a persistent monster. as i said, it was quiet. at first i thought my toilet paper was crap because it appeared that i had tiny toilet paper bits all over my lady…bits. as it’s progressed, & after many different treatments, i now have either the same kind of toilet paper-discharge or watery…blah. there’s itching, though it’s nothing to really complain of. what’s the worst is i constantly have the urge to pee because of an inflamed urethra. it is miserable. i’m always the one that makes my friends stop somewhere because i have to drizzle out two drops & it’s a constant reminder of what i’ve been condemned to.
i’ve been diagnosed by a gyno, but she brushed me out of her office like an irritating fly & just agreed with my worries, taking a quick look. i’m going to the doctor to get a dna probe (or whatever) done tomorrow morning, but i’m doubting he can help me much more than i’ve been helped. so far i’ve tried 3-day monistat, terconazole cream, diflucan, terconazole & diflucan, gynatren vaginal suppositories & pills with boric acid & l. acidophilus, & i just got done with a full week of diflucan. i’ve also dne a day or two of tea tree oil on a tampon & the occasional applicator full of organic, no sugar or flavor added yogurt. i’ve followed the instructions exactly & have taken all medicine, except the gynatren (because i was beginning to doubt i had a yeast infection still), for the full dose. it seems like my symptoms are mildly worse after every treatment (except the gynatren), usually the itching, & especially the constant urination during & after treatment. with this last run of diflucan, i felt (& smelt) amazing the first few days, then the day i finished, yesterday, the discharge seemed worse & more "classical" (cottage-cheesey. mmmm) though the itching has somewhat subsided…
i’m desperate. this "minor" issue has evolved into something that’s changing my everyday life & ruining my relationships with people because i can’t pull myself out my funk. & the boy of my dreams finally shares my same feelings, & our sex life is cautious, if even existent. & i’m sick of us being weird with each other because he feels powerless & can’t stand seeing me a mess. (i mean emotionally, of course)
has anyone else had a similar experience? what finally cured you? i keep reading about girls who have yeast infections for years & i’m not ready to deal with that. i turned 18 while having this, suffered through the new year & christmas, probaby valentine’s day as well. at this point, i’m ready to seperate myself from my body. i don’t mean to be dramatic, but i am entirely miserable.
i’ve searched google for hours in my desperation, so don’t give me anything from there. i’m looking for experience & expertise.
i have had sex during all the treatments except for the terconazole cream & the gynatren though i don’t think that would have a big impact? we looking to get my boyfriend looked at as well & have both sworn to stop until i’m better, in case he’s agitating it or reinfecting me. i’ve almost been addicted to chicken burritos from taco bell. i wouldn’t think so, but could any of this be ruining me?
i’m also off sugary foods & pop, & have been for a while. it’s been green tea with honey, water, & chciken burritos.
my period also should show up any day now, tomorrow being the predicted date. it’s my first actual period being off the pill. i’m hoping having an actual, natural & beautifully acidic period might work wonders. but if not, my next plans involve a stronger dose of boric acid for two weeks combined with diflucan. garlic’s also been a consideration.
please save me & my girl! tis has been a good experience in terms of me learning about me & the evil’s of bcs & how the medical field is out to eat women alive, & becoming more aware of the wonders between my legs (cuz i was pretty clueless before this) but 4 months is enough. i’ve learned!!! so please, lend me your intelligence. i would basically owe you my first born.
damn, that was long. x.x but i also forgot to mention that this is my first yeast infection. i am not at all prone to them. i’ve had two bacterial infections that cleared up just fine, those probably due to smoking & the bc pills. i’ve also quit smoking as of 10 days ago.

Diabetics: did you have to see a psychologist after diagnosis?
I was diagnosed last week with type II after having gestational diabetes that did not go away. I never thought I could get diabetes because it does not run in my family. My aunt (my mother’s sister) has Type I since she was 25 but she said it happened due to an accident. I am not overweight, and I am 31 years old. Well the thing is that I have been very sad and I have cried a lot and just thinking about how short and miserable my life will be regardless of taking good care of myself. I have seen my aunt doing everything she could to fight this terrible disease and she still lost her eyesight (she is only 53 years old), she is very active, she takes good care of herself, always followed a strict diet and takes her insuline as prescribed, but I remember seen her near death a few times throughout the years and also she has many problems related to her bladder, circulation, and countless problems that I can’t remember. I know that I should not compare myself to my aunt, but I have never met a diabetic that lived a long life, especially if they got the disease at a young age. I have 2 kids and I cry every day because I now that I may not be able to see my grandchildren. I feel like I am losing interest in almost everything that I used to like, I can’t stop thinking about the consequences of diabetes, even if it is well controlled, like my aunt’s. I just don’t know what to do because I don’t want my children to see me like this, but I can’t help it. Is this normal for a person who was recently diagnosed Type II at 31 years old?

I see a psychiatrist right now. Severely depressed over just recently being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. And any of the medications they want to give me either can cause diabetes, make it worse, or raise my blood sugar levels. WARNING! - Do not take ANY psych meds, even for depression without looking at the side effects and investigating them absolutely THOROUGHLY.
Another item of interest is estrogen dominance. Get your hormone levels checked and stay off the ‘pill’. Estrogen dominance can cause type 2 diabetes. Note: I took 2 different ‘psych’ meds last year in an attempt to get rid of my headaches. BOTH were known to cause diabetes. And now I have diabetes. Just make sure the treatment for anything you need doesn’t make other problems, or other problems worse.

For me, there is nothing I can really eat. I have high cholesterol too. So, what is suitable for a diabetic to eat is bad for my cholesterol and vice versa. As a result, depression and rapid weight loss.

About diabetic complications:
Yes, many diabetics have some form of complication, but it varies with the person and how well they manage their disease.

One of the most common ones is neuropathy - a terrible burning or pain in the extremities.
Next, in my opinion, would be blurred vision. But there are other complications that can happen, which aren’t curable. But can be treated to some degree.

Best advice to live to a ripe old age: manage your diabetes properly. Keep your blood sugars in the normal range for as long as possible, even after eating.

Avoid certain foods: the adage goes "if it’s white, it’s not right" when it comes to food.
Other foods to avoid are watermelon. It has a glycemic index (impact on your blood sugar) that is higher than pure glucose! Stay away from any ingredient that ends in -ose. Run away from High Fructose Corn Syrup. Studies have indicated that high fructose corn syrup has been linked to diabetes. Stay away from wheat if you can. A little whole wheat, low carb bread (1 slice) is ok and you need the fiber. Almost all bakery goods are off limits. All sugary soft drinks are too.
If you see anything that says ‘no sugar added’, beware-it may contain some sugar or even sugar alcohols. Maltitol is also bad. Yams/sweet potatoes are vitamin packed. Great food to eat, but be forewarned, it also comes loaded with about 30g of carbs per serving.

Constantly drink water. It keeps you hydrated and helps the kidneys.
I have found that black tea tends to keep my blood sugars under better control. I woke up to a nice blood sugar of 77 this morning.

You might want to buy ‘Sun Crystals’. It is made from Stevia. Fairly sweet and your blood sugar doesn’t take a big hit either.
If you get headaches from eating Splenda (sucralose), then you may be allergic to it. Splenda almost put me in the hospital with chronic severe headaches. FOR MONTHS I had headaches.

Eat low glycemic index foods and you MUST exercise every day if at all possible.
Try to do something as simple as walking for 30-60 minutes at a time, each day. Work yourself up to resistance training and other low impact exercise.

For me, for example, for every 15g-20g of carbs I eat, I usually have to walk for 30 minutes.
So, if I want to eat pizza, 4 slices, I have to wait 30 minutes afterward, and start walking for 2 1/2 hour! Not a fair trade - that much walking for that little amount of food. So I do that once a month as a treat so I don’t get bored with my diet. Food can help with depression too. Just to keep your sanity, you need to deviate from your diet once in a while.

I too think about diabetes constantly. It’s a horrible way to die if you don’t manage it properly.

Those are my blood sugar tests that I do. You can see patterns and more. You can make an account and record yours as well. Things that make you spike or raise your overall blood sugar average, you avoid. Things that help keep control, you home in on that and keep doing it.

Type 2 diabetes is generally insulin resistance. It can be ‘beat’ with proper diet and exercise. And you can live a long healthy normal life. The decision is ultimately yours as to how long you want to live and the quality of live you want to enjoy. Manage diabetes rigidly and you can have both. Don’t manage it and it will manage you, thus making life miserable.

Yes, it’s scary. Yes, it’s depressing. Yes, it’s a royal pain in the butt to have to deal with. Yes, it’s an expensive disease that takes a lot to manage properly, and it’s an ongoing expense.
